The larger gearing range with the MTB cassette makes the groupset slightly heavier.
Does not give you the range of a mountain bike cassette for mountain trails. Change your front sprocket to match.
A 10/50 or 10/52 cassette jumps with larger steps when shifting, but on the other hand has a much larger gear range.
