The Northwave Hammer Plus W MTB shoes feature a seamless Unibody construction that contributes significantly to comfort during your mountain bike rides. This construction prevents uncomfortable pressure points, allowing you to keep performing comfortably. Ventilation holes placed all over the shoe ensure optimal air circulation, keeping your feet temperature at the desired level.
Jaws Evo Sole
Developed specifically for the Hammer Plus W, the sole of the Jaws Evo consists of thermoplastic material with a tread made of natural rubber. This results in a lightweight design with excellent grip, even on challenging terrain. The advanced Flexi System and additional arch support offer a combination of comfort while walking and optimal power transfer while pedalling.
SLW3 Closure System
The Speed Lace (SLW3) closure system, integrated into the Hammer Plus W, delivers optimal support, ensures a secure fit and is quick and functional to use. With just a few actions, you can open and close the shoes. The dial closure allows precise adjustment to the millimetre. The closure can be gradually adjusted in steps or fully opened, making adjusting the shoe simple and precise.
In order to help you, as best we can, to choose the right size shoe we have measured all the shoes ourselves. All that's left for you to do is measure your own foot length, and we'll tell you which shoe size per brand suits you best. Does your foot length in mm not appear on the relevant product's page? Then that particular shoe is not available in a size that suits your foot length.
You can easily measure your foot length using an A4 sheet of paper, placed on the floor against a wall. Stand with one foot on the piece of paper, with your heel against the wall. Draw a line above your big toe (or above the index toe if that is longer). Now mark your other foot on the paper in the same way. Measure both - the measurement of your longest foot is your foot length in mm's! Please note: some manufacturers have their own measuring system, and as a result what appears on the shoebox can deviate from what we have measured.
What shoe size you need can differ per brand. This is because certain brands wear larger or smaller. To help you get the perfect fit, we've also classified the shoes as narrow, average, or wide fit. Read all about it in our blog!

SO happy about it!
I don't cycle that much, so I was looking for a not too expensive clip-on shoe. Looked online, but was surprised on site by the wide range on offer. Nice to be able to try on and feel what fits best. I've cycled with them a few times now and think I'm stupid for not doing it sooner. It makes cycling so much more relaxed. Especially on longer tours with small climbs. The first time I wore them was 100 km in the Limburg hills. Not a penny of pain or discomfort. After initially balking that I was over budget, that was gone immediately after the baptism of fire. Fine, well-fitting shoes! It does take some getting used to when opening the shoes as you have to lift the tongue itself to make room. Moreover, the shoes also appear to come from Treviso (Italy). Nice that it is made in Europe :-)

Good fitting shoes.
Bought these shoes for Spinning. The shoes are comfortable and easy to put on and take off. The click system in the sole securely attaches them to the pedals. This makes cycling easier.
