Mavic has used a new type of 3K carbon with the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbone SL C, which -among other things- increases the rigidity and lowers the weight. The aerodynamics have been improved since Mavic has switched to the 17C rims, allowing wider tyres to fall onto rim nicely. On top of that, wider tyres also provide more comfort. In order to push your limits, you have to be able to blindly rely on your equipment. Mavic never sacrifices reliability in their pursuit of lower weight or increased rigidity. The Cosmic line has always offered a well-balanced blend of low weight, aerodynamics, rigidity, comfort, and reliability, and continues to do so with this latest addition.
