Description
The Look Keo 2 Max pedals offer the same performance as their bigger brothers, the Keo 2 Max Carbon, except without the carbon body. The Keo 2 Max uses a steel inlay mounted on top of the body ensuring the pedals don't wear out in that spot. It also reduces creaking -something found with the old series- to a minimum.
Besides the steel plate, the polyamide body has been designed to provide you with a large amount of surface area, distributing the pressure more evenly over your foot and shoe. This gives the cleat a larger contact area, making your power transfer more efficient and lowering spot-pressure on your foot. The diameter of the steel axle has been increased to 12 mm, improving its rigidity. The Q-factor of these pedals is 53 mm.
The spring tension is adjustable, allowing you to set the pre-load to (dis)engage the pedal using a small hex key. The tension can be set between 9 and 15 Nm. The pedals come as standard with a set of grey cleats which have 4.5 degrees of play. Play-free black cleats or 9-degree red ones are also available, but sold separately.
