The Gates Carbon Drive™ CDN™ range is for those who want to experience the ease of use and silence of a belt drive. An added benefit is that you no longer have to deal with a dirty chain! This Gates CDN Urban Carbon Drive Belt is made specifically for Gates' CDN line, and comes in two versions: 111 teeth or 118 teeth. The CDN line features the same carbon fiber technology and CenterTrack sprocket design as the premium CDX line, but is geared more toward recreational users.

Clean belt

Belt as expected. Low maintenance in use and it is not greasy, which is nice as I often lift my bike up a flight of stairs. Mounting is a bit laborious because the frame has to be opened up. There is also a limited number of gears, which is sometimes inconvenient for me. It is important that the belt has the right tension, otherwise it will last much shorter.

Clean belt
