BPA is short for Bisphenol-A. These are so-called plasticizers that are often used in the plastic industry. However, this is a harmful substance that poses health risks if ingested frequently. For this reason, plastic that comes into contact with food is nowadays made of BPA-free plastic. All bottles in our range are free of BPA and therefore safe for frequent use.
Can this Camelbak Podium bottle be washed in the dishwasher?
Camelbak recommends not putting this Podium bottle in the dishwasher, but rather washing it by hand. The cap can be put in the upper part of the dishwasher.
Can I put tea in my Camelbak Podium Chill?
Yes, in principle all drinks can be put in this bottle: tea, milk, water drinks etc. However, it is recommended that you do not put boiling drinks in the bottle, that way you can be sure your bottle is not damaged and it will last a long time.
My bottle is a bit older and the taste and smell have deteriorated, can I do something about it?
We recommend always cleaning the bottle immediately after use and leaving it to dry thoroughly to prevent any smells from taking hold. But if it does happen, try the following: fill the water bottle 3/4 full with warm water and a tablespoon of baking soda. Let this stand for a maximum of one hour and then rinse the bottle.

Fine water bottle
Nice sturdy water bottle. You can leave the drinking opening open while biking without leaking/spilling. You do have to squeeze the bottle well to drink. But I already did that with my regular water bottle. I bought 4. 2 for myself and 2 for my son. Very happy with it.

Drink stays cool for a long time and water bottle lasts a long time
Fine water bottle, only downside is opening the mouthpiece. In the same direction as opening the lid.

Not worth the price
Water in this bottle heats up almost as fast as in an uninsulated water bottle. The twist cap is too heavy to operate while riding. Teeth holding the twist cap in place on the inside break off after only 1 month.

Good bottle but pricey
Fine sturdy bottles. Imprint says the insulation material inside the bottle looks a bit creased. Otherwise only praise!

Ideal in warmer weather
At an outside temperature of about 25°C, the contents remain drinkable even after two hours. Filled with sports drink at fridge temperature, the drink does not become lukewarm, as was the case in an ordinary water bottle. Do get used to the drinking spout, straight into the mouth and squeeze the bottle, then you won't spill.
