Pros
The coloured cover and rubber casing prevent damage to the paintwork of your bicycle.
Thanks to the symmetric key, this lock is very user-friendly.
A padlock as a locking device can be used for more purposes than just the bicycle.
This lock is relatively light, which makes it easier to transport.
Because of the protective cover around the chain, you prevent damage to the frame of your bike.
The CityChain 8800 has an automatic closing cylinder. This way you never leave the lock open by accident.
Available in two different lengths (95 and 120 cm).

Cons
Opening and closing the separate padlock requires more effort than when the lock is integrated.
No holder is supplied.
This lock does not have an ART quality mark and is therefore not suitable for insured bicycles.
The Abus CityChain 8800 comes without a holder for the frame. However, a chain lock is easy to transport by wrapping the lock around the seat post.
