Had to upgrade from R700 long reach calipers, due to a frame change. The 8000s are a significant step up in power and modulation. I'm less impressed by the quick release, which does not open the caliper up enough to clear my 25mm Pro4s. That forces a twiddle of the cable adjuster to clear the tyre. This works ok, but frankly feels low rent, with a coarse and clunky feel. Also, there is still no protective buffer to prevent frame damage when the front wheel swings round. Not a lot to ask.
