The Oakley Radar EV Prizm Violet cycling glasses replace the legendary original Radar model, and instantly take your cycling experience to the next level. The Radar EV Prizm Violet glasses combine a bold design with razor-sharp vision in sunny conditions. Compared to its famous predecessor, this model includes several major changes, the most striking one being the enlarged lens that offers a spectacularly improved field of vision.
Extensive testing with top athletes around the world revealed that cyclists, in their low racing position, often found themselves looking up at the top edge of the frame when wearing the older models. Oakley took this feedback to heart and designed a considerably larger lens that ensures an unobstructed field of vision no matter how low you hunch over the handlebars. In addition, these sports glasses are fitted with clever "surge ports" that create a cooling airflow and prevent the lens from fogging up. The frame is made of Oakley’s exclusive O-Matter™ material, resulting in an incredibly low overall weight and an extremely strong construction. Add the sophisticated HDO technology and the robust Plutonite lens material, and you have a pair of sports glasses that truly offer the best protection for your eyes. So, say goodbye to your trusty old Radar because this successor outperforms it in every way!

Prizm Violet lens
The Prizm Violet lens is made from polycarbonate and offers excellent sun protection with 13% light transmission that makes it an excellent choice for bright, sunny days. The Prizm Violet lens not only enhances contrast but also has a tinted mirror coating that minimises glare and ensures sharp vision in a variety of light conditions.
Fit and protection
Glasses that fit perfectly simply offer the best protection and perform the best. The unique combination of flexible and ultra-strong O-Matter™ frame material and the impact-resistant lens gives you the certainty of maximum protection, no matter how rough or unpredictable your ride gets!
High Definition Optics (HDO)
HDO technology means that the curvature of the lens is meticulously tailored to the natural curve of your eye. As a result, your vision is always razor-sharp and completely free from distortion, no matter which angle you look from.
Larger field of view for the cycling position
Since you often lean forward while cycling with your eyes focused ahead, cyclists wearing standard glasses often find their view obstructed by the top edge of the frame. Oakley has solved this with an extra-large lens that reaches higher above your eyes. With this optimised design, you can enjoy a vast field of view without any annoying interruptions or blind spots.
O-Matter™ frame
The new Radar's frame is built for high-intensity use and made of O-Matter™, a highly stress-resistant, super lightweight and incredibly durable material. Thanks to slight, controlled flexibility, the frame is not only very comfortable to wear for hours on end but also surprisingly impact-resistant.
Plutonite lens material
Plutonite is one of the most optically clear materials currently on the market. It not only offers razor-sharp vision but is also so robust that it can withstand virtually any impact. What’s more, the UV protection does not involve a separate layer or coating but is integrated into the material itself. The lens blocks 100% of all UVA, UVB and UVC radiation as well as harmful blue light up to 400 nanometres.
Impact protection
Thanks to decades' worth of experience in developing innovative products, Oakley sunglasses offer uncompromising protection. If a twig, pebble or insect comes flying at your lens at high speed, the reliable combination of the special lens material and the unique frame construction keeps your eyes perfectly safe.
Three-Point Fit
Glasses with temples that dig uncomfortably into the backs of your ears are a thing of the past. Oakley's patented Three-Point Fit system ensures that the glasses rest only on the bridge of your nose and the sides of your head. Thus, they distribute the pressure optimally, eliminate painful pressure points and also keep the lens perfectly optically aligned with your eyes.
Ventilation
Fogged-up lenses? Never again! The Radar's frame includes specially designed "surge ports" that create a pleasant airflow along the lens. This effective ventilation rapidly gets rid of sweat and hot air so that the lens stays beautifully clear and fog-free, even on the most challenging climbs.
