Mio Cyclo Discover Connect

The Mio Cyclo Discover Connect is an easy-to-use bike navigation system. Despite the easy use, this device offers very extensive navigation options. For example, you can create new routes in the Mio Share app on your phone. If you prefer the national bike junction network, use the Node Option. And if you want to let the system do its job, use the Surprise Me function to get a creative route that includes all your favourite locations. The Connect is perfect for the recreational cyclist who likes to ride (new) routes. This model is therefore also very suitable for e-bikers and touring cyclists. The clear map view and GPS network never let you down. In short, with the Mio Cyclo Discover Connect, you'll never get lost again, and you'll easily discover new and exciting cycling routes.

Easy to use
Discover Connect focuses less on analysing your sporting achievements and more on exploring new routes. After all, enjoying your ride is the most important thing! The 3.5" screen and clear colour display make it easy to read the map. The bike navigation can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. This way, you can also receive important messages or calls on your bike computer. The MioShare app lets you view all your ride data and saved locations, amd can also be used to plan new routes.

Tracing and creating routes
On the Mio Cyclo Discover Connect the entire map of Europe is installed by default. There are several options for creating routes. You can do so via various apps on your phone, such as MioShare, Komoot, Strava and RouteYou. You can then automatically transfer these routes to your Mio. Of course, you can also use other apps, export the routes as gpx files and access them manually in your Mio.
Do you prefer to use the Dutch or Belgian Numbered Junction Network? Perhaps you are used to writing down these numbers and then following a route. With the Node Option in this Mio you can also create routes based on such junctions. Don't feel like making up a route? Or do you like to be surprised? Then there is also the Surprise Me function. Mio has been known for this feature for years, and the Discover Connect has the very latest version of it. Enter your departure and end points and a number of locations you want to pass. Choose your desired distance and Mio will plan a route for you. It's as simple as that!

Automatic detour function
If you arrive at a point where you cannot continue, due to a road block, for example, or a path that turns out to be unsuitable for cycling, the Mio Cyclo Discover Connect can easily create a detour for you.

Create a personalised Point of Interest in the MioShare app, for example a location where you would like to stop and enjoy the view. You can add additional information in the app. Then, when you cycle your route and arrive at that particular location, Mio gives you a signal with a scannable QR code. If you scan it with your phone, you can read the location information.

MioShare, Komoot, Strava or RouteYou integration
With these apps, you can easily create new cycling routes. Of course, these apps work in perfect harmony with the Mio Cyclo Discover Connect.

Preguntas frecuentes

s it possible to upload routes wirelessly using my smartphone?
Some Mio bike navigation models have built-in WiFi. That applies to the Discover Connect, Discover Plus and Discover Pal. With these devices, you can upload routes wirelessly with the MioShare app.

1. Save your routes in the app under 'Tours'.
2. Go to 'Settings' on your Cyclo and choose WiFi under 'Connections'.
3. Also go to 'Settings' in the MioShare app and find the WiFi network of your Mio Cyclo.
4. Enter the code and click 'Join'.
5. When the devices are connected, click 'Sync' on your Mio Cyclo. After the synchronization, you can find your route on your Mio Cyclo under 'Tours'.

Please note that while you can upload existing routes from you MioShare app to you Mio GPS, you cannot create new route on-the-go within the app. For that, you need to use MioShare's web-based client on your PC or Tablet.
