With Effetto Mariposa Caffélatex liquid latex, you’ll fix a punctured tyre in no time. Caffélatex is an innovative latex liquid for mountain bike, cyclocross bikes and road bikes. This liquid tyre sealant can be used in tubes, tubeless tyres and regular bicycle tyres with an inner tube.
Once applied, the Caffélatex liquid will turn to foam due to the rotation of the wheel. This fills the tyre internal with Caffélatex sealant. This fills punctures in the tread and side wall in the blink of an eye. The new formula allows the sealant to fill punctures up to 5 mm (mtb tubeless) and 3 mm (road bike tubeless).
After 15 minutes of standing still, Caffélatex will turn back into liquid latex. The tyre will remain airtight, but the Caffélatex won’t fill up new punctures anymore.
Thanks to a potent formula, Effetto Mariposa Caffélatex has a longer lifespan. The lifespan also depends on the type of usage. With the following tyres, you can expect the following lifespan:
Tubular (or latex/butyl inner tube): 1 - 2 years
UST Tubeless tyre: 4-6 months
Tubeless ready tyre: 2 - 4 months
Tube-type tyre: 2 - 3 months
The lifespan also depends on wheel type, tyre thickness, temperature, humidity and where your bike is stored. That’s why the manufacturer recommends re-application of Caffélatex every 2 months for optimal protection against punctures.
Non-corrosive
Completely free of ammonia, 100 percent tyre- and wheel friendly and doesn’t cause damage to latex inner tubes.
Usage and storage temperatures
Ranging from extremely cold to extremely warm.
Use: Between -20 and 50 degrees Celsius.
Storage: Between -15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
