CS-M8200: The evolution of HYPERGLIDE+ gear shifting
The CS-M8200 is the latest innovation in the area of HYPERGLIDE+ shifting. With optimised tooth profiles on the cassette, this shifting group offers improved performance under high loads. The combination of smoothness, speed and durability makes this cassette unique. The 9-45 cassette ratio allows for the option to ride with a smaller front ring and shorter derailleur, saving weight and providing extra clearance to the ground.
Materials
The CS-M8200 is only compatible with a Micro Spline body. Shimano has decided on a largely steel construction, with the largest two cogs made of aluminium for a perfect balance between weight and durability.
Lockring
The 10-51 version uses the regular lockring. To accommodate the 9-tooth cog, the 9-45t uses a different lockring, for which this lockring tool is required.
