AXA Absolute 9 ART2

good and sturdy chain lock
Nice, sturdy chain lock to lock your electric bike. Easy to use and meets ART requirements for bicycle insurance. Chain lock is on the heavy side.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Heavier, trickier to use, sturdier
The chain is heavier and trickier to use than the plug-in chain. But the insurance company requires it so I use it.

great lock to secure your electric bike
Strong lock, just long enough to secure my electric bike. I found a longer lock too heavy and don't need it in practice. The lock fits under the saddle around the bar, so you can easily carry it with you.

Good padlock
It seems robust and efficient. A little heavy, but that's the weight of tranquillity/security.

Had to for insurance unfortunately otherwise never purchased!
Hugely awkward, too heavy!

It does what it is made for, securing your bike
Sturdy and good in terms of price-quality and hufterproof. Too bad the key falls out of the lock quickly when you are fixing the lock to a pole cq your bike.

Secure and stylish lock.
Recently got a nice bike. Generally, I never like a lock. But if I wanted to insure the bike, it needed an ART2 lock. I hesitated between this one and an ABUS. I found this one somewhat nicely designed. The 90cm length is perfect to wrap it exactly 3 times around my seat post. The ABUS came in 85cm and 110, which I found either too short or too long. I also liked the key better. Had to get used to the key having to stay in the lock to click it in.

The chain lock does what it is supposed to do.

Excellent ending.
Axa Absolute 9 ART2 is simple and easy to use. I fix my bike to a post or fence or also to my husband's bike. Fortunately, the lock chain is long enough.

Great lock
All in all, a good lock. Lock works smoothly and with 110cm almost always enough length to secure the bike properly. Only for carrying it is quite heavy. Use it at work where I leave it hanging there and don't have to show it off all the time.

Goed stevig slot die moeilijk los te maken is
Het slot is goed stevig en zwaar wat naar mijn idee fietsen dieven toch afschrikt om de fiets te laten staan

Fine and good lock. Highly recommended
Good lock, nice length and nice and heavy. Most ideal is the cover slider on the keyhole, which prevents unnecessary dirt in the hole. Otherwise easy to use, so highly recommended as far as I am concerned.

Heavy, solid, but exactly what I was looking for
Looking for a 2 star lock to secure my bike to something. Chose a slightly longer one than the previous one so it is easier to use for example a tree, bike or other object as an anchor. Because the links are a bit thicker, the chain then obviously becomes heavier. That is the only disadvantage. Lock works fine. Is nicely protected so the chance of damaging your bike is minimal.
