Bicycle Lock Selection Guide

What type of lock are you looking for?

Each type of lock has unique properties and is therefore not suitable for all purposes. It is therefore important to determine which type of bicycle lock you need. Cable and chain locks have length as an advantage, but differ in strength. A cable lock is generally lighter, but also offers less protection than a chain lock. A ring lock is usually included on a city bike and E-bike and goes between the spokes of the wheel, but is actually only really safe when it has an plug in chain. A foldable lock is compact and very strong, but also on the heavy side and less flexible than a cable or chain lock. An U lock is the strongest, but also heavy and the least practical.
