The Abus Taipan bike helmet brings the speed of a racing helmet and the sturdiness of a gravel helmet cleverly together for all your sporty rides. With 18 vents and deep air channels, it keeps your head wonderfully cool on tough climbs and hot summer days. This helmet gives you all the freedom you need to pedal confidently on asphalt as well as dirt roads.
Composition and fit
For a sturdy and durable construction, the inner shell is foamed directly into the outer shell using the In-mould process. Abus has widened the inner shape slightly to create room for thicker padding that feels soft on your head. Thanks to the Zoom Spin adjustment system with a handy rotary wheel, you can adjust the fit with great precision to make it just right for your head circumference. The helmet's washable padding and breathability make it suitable for high-intensity rides in mild to warm conditions.

For added convenience, Abus has integrated a glasses holder at the front in which you can tuck away your sports glasses securely and aerodynamically. The Flow Straps feel soft on the skin and are designed to not flap in the wind, so you are barely aware of their presence while cycling. If you wear your hair in a braid or ponytail, you can pull it through the convenient opening at the back of the helmet. A hard bottom edge around the shell prevents scratches and wear in daily use, and the reflector sticker increases your visibility in low-light conditions.
