Pros & Cons

  • The wheels have been specifically designed for disc brakes, so no visible brake track on the rim!
  • Can be used tubeless, which reduces your chances of getting a puncture.
  • The wide rim allows you to fit wider tyres, which provide more grip and comfort.
  • Uses the same hub as the more expensive Zipp Firecrest series.
  • The wide rim requires wider tyres, which don't work with every frame.

Superb!

After a long long search for a wheelset that would replace my beaten up DT R24, I came to the conclusion that no other brand offered me the new trends in construction, depth and width combined with the fact that it would excel on the road and off road + also tubeless ready! The price offered in most of the online stores may steer you to other brands, but given this one in Mantel, it's difficult to choose another set. They are comfortable, reliable, low sprawl noise, they roll and roll, it's crazy! Sometimes I'm doing some maintenance and just with a little wiggle and they start sniping effortlessly. The build quality of the adaptares & QR skewers, are just small details that gives you an instant smile. Just completed a difficult gran fondo with some tough roads and potholes and they were great.

Pros

  • Quality
  • Spin effortlessly
  • Tubeless ready
  • Adapters & skewers included

Super wielen

Pros

  • Breda (21 mm invändigt)
  • Aerodynamiska (26 mm höga)
  • Enkel tubeless-installation
  • Samma ekerlängd överallt (290 mm)

Cons

  • Inte särskilt lätta

Detailed product description

The 30 Disc is the first Zipp wheel set which is tubeless-ready. Thus, you can ride with a lower tyre pressure without the risk of punctures. The hubs are the same hubs that are used in the Zipp 202 and the 303 Firecrest Disc. These hubs have end caps that can be taken of by hand to run the new standard 12X100 on the front or a 15X100. For the rear you can ride a 12X135 or a 12X142. These hubs are cheaper, lighter and perhaps most importantly; more versatile than the old 88 / 188D. So you can ride with a thru axle or quick release.
