Description
The Vision Trimax 25 KB road bike wheels are very light at only 1420 grams. This is partly due to the milled rims that save a lot of weight. The low weight increases the wheels' ability to accelerate after a turn. And it goes without saying the climbing and descending with this wheelset is a joy. Suddenly need to brake? The P.E.O. braking surface increases stopping power in dry as well as wet conditions, compared to a default aluminium braking surface. It's for good reason that Vision describes the wheelset as 'workhorse for all around use'.
The Vision Trimax 25 KB is tubeless ready, which means it's possible to mount tubeless tyres. The biggest upside of riding tubeless? The liquid latex in your tyre will seal small punctures, eliminating the need to replace your inner tube when you're on the way. Especially tyres starting at 25mm work great with the modern 17mm wide rim. This allows you to cycle with a lower tyre pressure for more comfort and traction.
The Trimax 25 KB wheels are built with aero spokes, which are attached in the rim with ABS spoke nipples. The spoke tension will remain optimal for longer compared to regular spoke nipples. With the Vision Trimax 25 KB you'll have a light and comfortable workhorse wheelset at your disposal.
• Vision QR-93 quick release skewers
• Vision rim tape
• (possibly a torque wrench)
Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette.
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim.
