- A single-sided powermeter is less accurate than a double-sided powermeter.
The stages Ultegra R8000 power meter fits perfectly to the crankset of Shimano Ultegra R8000 groupset. You will measure your power with a 3rd generation meter of Stages. The Stages power meter measures the power with great accuracy (± 1,5% deviation) in the left crank arm. The 3rd generation of Stages is 6 times stronger than his predecessor. Would you like to measure your power from the right side at a later stage? No problem at all, the Stages R8000 Right power meter can be perfectly combined with the Ultegra R8000 Power meter.
The Stages Ultegra R8000 fits perfectly into the Stages Performance Ecosystem, combined with the Stages Link software and the Stages Dash bike computer. This power meter is very waterproof and has an IPX7 certification. The energy is provided by a cr2032 battery with a lifespan of 175 hours.
Accurate power meterThe Stages power meter measures the power with great accuracy (± 1,5% deviation) in the left crank arm. Because the unit is pre mounted in the crank arm, the power meter is very lightweight and small. The crank arm is just 20g heavier compared to the standard crank. This unit is the lightest power meter on the market: it's 33-185g lighter than most competitive power meters, and at the most attractive price.
Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ TechnologyThe data is transferred via ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart technology, allowing almost any bike computer to be paired. The firmware updates can easily be done wireless from your phone. The cadence is measured wireless and without requiring additional sensors, as it's measured through the internal accelerometer.
Mounting the Stages power meterMounting the Shimano Stages Power meters is very easy. You only need a torque wrench and the Shimano crank key TL-FC16 / FC-M960.
Please note: Check whether the power meter is compatible with your direct mount rear brake under your bottom bracket. You can do this by inserting an Allen key 10 between your current crank arm and your frame and/or direct-mount rear brake, as shown in the picture. If this fits everywhere, then this Stages power meter will also fit!
