Detailed product description

Sram has set a new standard with the new Red 22 groupset. It's a massive step forward, not just when it comes to weight reduction but functionality as well. Red 22 is the first 11-speed groupset that doesn't require front derailleur trim to use all of the cogs on the cassette because of the new Yaw front derailleur. With Sram, 11-speed really does mean having 22 gears! Sram held on to everything that made the previous generation Red DoubleTap shifters great, but changed the ergonomics slightly to make them feel more natural in your hands.

The Red 22 rear derailleur features all the latest Sram technology to ensure the quickest, quietest gear shifts possible. The Exact Actuation technology allows for precise, efficient shifts at any point on the cassette.

When it comes to climbing, you've always had a few options. You could get a triple, or a compact crankset. Sram now offers another option to help you climb even the steepest mountains with the new WiFli technology.

The WiFli technology works using a larger cassette (11/30 or 11/32) and a long-cage rear derailleur. When combined with a compact crankset, you get an incredibly wide range of gears. This derailleur is required to take care of the greater changes in chain lengths that come with a larger gear range.
