Description
With the introduction of the new Sram Red eTAP groupset, the mechanical components have also been given a thorough overhaul. Still boasting the same great properties, just in a new look.
The Sram Red 22 C2 rear derailleur has been designed to offer you the shifting performance you've come to expect from Sram. The derailleur has been designed using the Sram Exact Actuation technology, ensuring accurate and efficient gear shifts. Sram has payed great attention to the smallest details, like adding a hollow titanium locking bolt. The result is profound: the chain runs through the new Red 22 rear derailleur smoother than ever!
The WiFli technology uses a larger rear cassette (11-26 or 11-32) and a long-arm rear derailleur. Combined with a compact crankset, this offers you the best possible range of gears. The derailleur is required for this set-up, as you'll need to compensate for the wide variations in chain length.
The WiFli concept paired to the medium-caged rear derailleur can be used with either a normal crankset or a compact. If you decide to go for the compact and an 11-32 cassette, you'll have an extremely wide range of gears at your disposal. The lightest possible gear is now a 34T chainring combined with a 32T rear sprocket. With a triple set-up like Shimano uses, the smallest possible gear is the 30T front, 27T rear combination. The Sram set-up offers you a gear which is even marginally lighter than that!
