The Ultegra R8050 has also been optimised for wider rims and tyres. Ergonomically shaped Di2 shifters, new covers for the Di2 buttons, and with improved adjustability when it comes to shifting options. Synchronized Shifting is available to set-up the shifting speed and options to your liking. Finally, the rear derailleur uses the Shadow Technology for a lowered, more protected profile which helps aerodynamics and reduces the chance of damage.

Presque parfait

Le montage des fils de connexions reste une opération méticuleuse. A déplorer, le chargeur de la batterie n'est pas compris dans le prix ! Assez étonnant tout de même. Habitué au campa, je trouve le pedalier un peu "mastoc" Par contre fonctionnement très agréable, freinage des plus efficace et passage des vitesses précis !!! Exactement ce que j'attendais. Il ne reste plus qu'a proposer une version sans fils !

Detailed product description

Shifters
The new Di2 Shifters allow you to operate the recently released full- or semi-Synchronised Shifting (with the BT-BN110 battery) technology, which enables rides to shift the front (fully synchronised) or rear (semi-synchronised) derailleurs automatically. This means that you could for instance set up both left shifters to change up and both right shifters to change down. The shifters have also been given a clearer "click"-sensation to achieve fast and accurate gear changes even while wearing gloves.

Crankset
The asymmetric Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset takes its design from the Dura Ace R9100 version. This shape ensures optimal power transfer and a more efficient pedalling motion. The Hollowtech technology has once again been applied to this crankset which helps Shimano achieve a perfect balance between weight and stiffness.

Front Derailleur
The front derailleur (FD) was designed to ensure fast and smooth gear changes even under heavy pedal loads. Combined with the restyled cranks, the front derailleur has been given a new look to both accommodate wider tyres and a bigger gear range without any detrimental effects to shifter performance.

Rear Derailleur
Shimano Shadow RD design: fully located underneath the cassette, offering more protection against damage. The RD comes in a short cage (SS) version for cassettes of between 11-25 and 11-30T and a long cage (GS) design to accommodate cassettes from 11-28 through to 11-34T. Both Di2 front- and rear derailleur communicate with one another to work with full- or semi-synchronised shifting, meaning the rider can keep his attention on the road or race.

Brakes
The Shimano Ultegra R8000 brake calipers have a larger opening with more clearance to fit tyres up to 30 mm. The cable tension adjuster has also been given a more aerodynamic design. The lever function has been further optimised to exert more stopping power onto wider rims.
