Shimano G03A Disc Brake Pads

Description

These organic brake pads are made of soft materials. These brake pads therefore provide excellent controllability and good braking power. Due to the soft compound, this brake pad also engages quickly. In addition, the organic compound ensures that these brake pads make little noise while in use. A drawback to organic brake pads is their ability to withstand high temperatures, e.g. generated by intense use in long descents. The new aluminium backplate has improved the brake pads’ ability to shed heat but other brake pads with cooling fins or a (semi-)metallic compound still test better than the organics at the moment. In addition, organic brake pads wear out faster if used in muddy conditions.

If you mainly ride during moderate temperatures on flat terrain these pads are the perfect choice. However, if you mainly use your bike in winter, or if you regularly go to hilly/mountainous areas, you'd better go for Semi-Metallic or Metallic brake pads.
