The 4-armed crank set is also remarkable. According to Shimano this optimizes the power transfer during pedaling and also makes the groupset stiffer.

The 11-speed cassette is 2mm wider than the old 10-speed group. The thickness of the sprocket is the same, the spacers are a bit narrower. Do make sure your wheelset is suitable for an 11-speed cassette.

The brakes are newly designed. It is all about the double pivot braking, which means there are two pedal pivots. According to Shimano these brakes have better control and braking power.
