Supple but bizarrely quick to leak

- Jesse, 21 September, 2023

I have been using these inner tubes for my competition wheels for a few months now, they are incredibly supple and I am very happy with them, only now I have had a puncture for the third time in three months, even though there was no reason to have one. After a few uses they drop from 6 to 2 bar within a few hours. Despite the nice experience on the bike, they are now no longer worth it to me because I have to replace them every so often.

Pros & Cons

light
super flexible
leak very quickly

Fast supple ride..my favourite!

- Carmelo, 2 September, 2023

I have been using these tubes for many years and prefer them to going tubeless..they need a little more card than butyl but I love them

Pros & Cons

Fast
Supple ride
Can sometimes get pinch punctures occasionally

excellent road feel

- Claude, 31 July, 2023

These tubes are the nec plus ultra of latex. Exceptional road feel, gives the tyre suppleness for a verified weight of 50g. Very happy with my purchase

Lightweight tyre that loses pressure quickly.

- Jacques, 25 July, 2023

Recently bought a set of three to compare with vittoria latex. The vredestein latex bb lose pressure very quickly, around 0.3bar per hour. This is way too much. With the first one, I thought it was flat (one ride) but the second one does it too. Pretty disappointing to me. Vittoria stays on pressure much better during a ride. Secondly, the weight praised here. I measured both different vittoria's as well as the peacesteins: vittoria is around 84/85 grams per tyre, peacestein around 65 grams. So the 20g difference leads to at least (much) less pressure loss. Fine bb for people who ride short rides and don't mind having to inflate their tyres completely before each ride. For longer rides and some re-pumping, I still recommend the vittorias. That 40 grams extra is thus negligible (if weight is important, look at tubolinos or similar bb's).

Pros & Cons

Light weight
Smooth
Empty too quickly
Expensive
Prone to leakage
Valve extender needed

- Guillaume, 9 February, 2022

Lightweight, comfortable and fast tubes

- Ismail, 6 November, 2021

I bought these tubes after reading more about rolling resistance. And they didn't disappoint. Alongside Continental GP 5000 tires they save me at least 20 watts, or increase my speed by 4km/h from 30km/h to 34 km/h. They're also lightweight, which means my spare tube for the race is 50% less weight. Overall I think it's a game changer for me, especially when used with aero wheels + racing tires. Only issue is that all if the above comes at the cost of being very easy to puncture, even during mounting, so be very careful.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable ride
Lightweight
Low rolling resistance
Very easy to puncture

The best performing latex inner tube on the market

- Fabio, 20 October, 2021

Definitely the lightest inner tube on the market. Probably also the smoothest. Slightly more delicate than the other latex inner tubes I have tried. Very easy to repair with ordinary tip tops

Pros & Cons

Sliding
Slight
Slightly more delicate than other lat chambers

For me only this hose

- Oliver, 9 October, 2021

The tube is one of the fast latex tubes, I could hardly believe that a tube could contribute so much to the rolling resistance.

Pros & Cons

The tube rolls great

Best upgrade for the lowest price

- Miguel, 19 September, 2021

I have these inner tubes in my GP5000 and it feels great. The tyres roll a lot more comfortably than butyl. I notice that all bumps from the road are better absorbed. Meanwhile, I have ridden 1000km on them without a puncture, hopefully it will stay that way. In addition, you easily save 100 with two of these inner tubes compared to butyl, probably the effect is mainly mental, but during a hard acceleration I feel that my wheels get and stay going easier. Highly recommended!

Pros & Cons

Leakproof
Light
Rolls very smoothly

The energy I spent cursing burned enough calories to drop my body weight by more than these save

- Danny, 23 March, 2021

3 out of the 5 I purchased punctured just by the tyre bead snapping into place in initial inflation. The 4th punctured slowly after the first air top up (still never ridden). The 5th is still inflated but will probably puncture the next time I glance at it, very probably before I even ride it so I may just replace it with a vittoria and save myself 5 mins at the side of the road cursing. Sticking to vittoria from now on.

Pros & Cons

Light
Puncture by looking at them
Utterly useless
