Ride nice but quality leaves much to be desired

- Bart, 14 April, 2023

Used about 1300 km during fall and winter. In terms of grip, tread wear and rolling resistance a top tire. However, I am a little disappointed in the durability of the compounds. I have read before that people were troubled that the three different compounds in the tire do not stay together well. I can confirm that. Tips to avoid that is to deflate the tires between rides. Micro cracks between tread and and sidewall and after only one season already signs of drying out. Maybe this is because I just left them at 5-6 bar. However, I think that is something a tire should be able to withstand.

Pros & Cons

Easy assembly
Good rolling resistance
Grip
Puncture-resistant
Wear-resistant tread
Different compounds separate from each other
Dries out quickly
Durability
Micro cracks in tread

Excellent choice. I do not regret my purchase.

- Christian, 3 April, 2023

After a few wet outings, the handling was excellent and pleasant in the dry. No problems with mounting and I'm not used to mechanics. I recommend the tire.

Great winter tyre

- Mike, 29 January, 2023

I've used the Extreme Weather tyres for a number of years. I've found they wear well, ride comfortably and pretty quick whilst giving very good grip in wet and cold conditions down to 0deg. To my mind these are better than Continental 4 season as the compound seems softer hence better grip and comfort. (albeit the Continentals do wear a little better)

Pros & Cons

Great grip
Roll well

- Ralf, 24 September, 2022

Fine tyre for now. Runs smoothly and is still comfortable.

- Niels, 17 May, 2022

Previous tyre was a Continental Grand Prix 4-Season Folding Tyre 28" DuraSkin Black Edition but it dries out very quickly and tears all around. And that's a shame because they ride uniquely nice but pricey. I hope these Vredestein tyres are better successors that last longer than six months.

Pros & Cons

Pretty easy to put on the rim
Runs comfortably
Very fast
Shows no direction on the tyre

I have had Vredestein racing tyres for about 15 years now! I have also been riding this tyre for 4 years with great pleasure! Rolls perfectly at 7.5 Bar front and rear and easily reaches 7500 A 8000 km on the rear tyre and +- 9000 km on the front. so value for money! Also mounting and dismounting goes smoothly and very reliable also on gravel!

extremly good grip, low rolling resitance

- Robert, 29 November, 2020

these tyres ride very and with a subtle feel, they grip well on wet roads at low temperature and feel assuring. Havent ridden them only for 500 miles so far but seem to hold up well and no visible sign of wear yet. Haven't had a puncture yet, despite riding on gravel and whin tracks with lost of leaf litter and branches from brambles and hedge cutting around. Were fairly easy to put on when new and seem to have become a bit more flexible since then, as expected, which should make it easier to put on in case of a puncture

Pros & Cons

assured feeling when riding in the cold (freezing)
become more felexible after 100miles
good grip in wet
no puctures after 500miles
stiff to put on whne new

All season grip

- Andrew, 8 January, 2019

Been running these day in day out for a few years. Firstly the wet weather grip is excellent - this is the main factor for choosing them for me. In terms of puncture protection, their not super resilient but then they remain light. I'd say they were a fraction more resilient than the Conti gp4000s I also use, but their still susceptible to thorns, glass etc.

Great tyre

- Charlie, 12 December, 2015

I have been using these for about a year now after finding my Conti 4 seasons puncturing too often. They have proved to be very tough and hard wearing. Im not really worried about how fast they roll, but more interested in reliability. The grip has not let me down and I ride in all weathers.
