As a layman, it is sometimes difficult to see the trees (picking out the right one) through the forest (of bike parts). So always exciting to order something online. For example, upon unpacking I suddenly found myself confronted with only 11 sprockets, while I thought I had ordered a cassette of 12. At first I thought I was mistaken, so I quickly double-checked my mtb before counting the number of sprockets in the box again. Alas, the error must have happened at SRAM, because the sealed box had the correct type number on it, which ruled out an error at Mantel. Until my wife (whose help I had enlisted in recounting once again) turned over the cassette and shouted out the redeeming word: "found it!".... Turns out the smallest (and therefore 12th) sprocket was neatly hidden in the clamp that holds everything together. Just goes to show that behind every man is quite a clever woman

About a year and a half i cycle on this system from SRAM. during this time i have already worn out 2 of these cassettes and 3 chains. The first cassette and chain after about 600km on the routes of Rijk van Nijmegen. The 2nd set lasts a bit longer due to the use of 2 GX chains, after using each other. After a lot of asking around, I still don't have a clear answer how this cassette wears out so fast (I also read stories of people pedaling a multiple of my KM through it). It would be a maintenance/wear story, however, I clean my drivetrain after every ride and use Squirt lube. The next (last) thing I am going to try is using 2 chains that I change every other month so they wear evenly. On the other hand, you still want to keep cycling and it is a bit cheaper at Mantel than at the local bike shop.

The nx cassette fits a standard shimano hub body. this means no expensive upgrade of your wheels or freehub. The disadvantage is that this cassette is a lot heavier than the gx version. If you maintain the chain properly and replace it in time, this cassette will last a very long time!

Am on ebike switched from SX chainring to the NX for lack of supply possibility. Is driven with SRAM SX chain and SX rear derailleur. After installation set with the distance gauge. Runs very satisfactorily.

To replace wear parts. Advantage of the NX cassette is that it fits on the Shimano freewheel and the lower sprockets are separate. Thus, the smallest 5 pinions can be changed individually against that of the CS-8000. Thus, several chains can be driven with one cassette. The pinions of the CS-8000 cost about 5€ each. Cheap alternative, because the large pinions due to the high number of teeth and the low frequency of use virtually no wear.

This is on my Trek Roscoe 8. Nice cassette, looks cool and is a nice entry level model compared to the GX and others that are more expensive. Shifts nice and smooth. Smallest cogs do wear out quickly. I wore out the three smallest cogs with 2500km of commuting and mountain biking. If you ride a 32t on the road between 20-30km/h you are already pedaling with those last 3 small cogs. I never use the two lightest gears, let that be the added value of the 12 speed.

My Cube is equipped with "SX" as standard. But there is not in the aftermarket. So I am forced to switch to the more expensive "NX". I'm curious whether the higher price also pays off in durability.

Bought this cassette as an upgrade from 2x10 to 1x12. In combination with a good KMC X12EL chain it has been on for 2 years now and the cassette has proved to be very durable. The drive is now starting to make serious noise and that is mainly coming from the GX front sprocket which is much more worn out than this cassette. I ride an average of 50km/week, over 2500km/year. Weight does not tell me much as you can better work on your belly fat than those few grams for a more expensive cassette will give you.

Good quality cassette but would like to be able to order just the smaller cogs as these wear fast on an ebike, it is not economical to replace the entire cassette when 75% is still in good order for the sake of 3-4 cogs (e.g. 11-17T).

Bought the cassette to fit my MTB on a direct drive turbo trainer that has a 'shimano' type spline standard. The NX cassette uses this standard (GX and above casettes use the Sram XD standard). No additional purchase of an XD driver required saving me money

In itself a good product, shifts nicely, great range. Unfortunately I broke this cassette while shifting under pressure. According to the supplier this was caused by the adjustment and (lack of) tension of the accompanying NX-derailleur. Less suitable for real sportive use.

Bike converted from 2x10 to 1x12 Sram NX. Really great, don't run out of gears. Mounting with DUB bearing easy. Special tools needed, normal bottom bracket wrench does not fit. Water pump pliers and a piece of rubber tire solved the problem.
