No more wet feet

- Angelo, 31 January, 2024

Upon delivery of the mudguards, it turned out that the mounting parts were wrong in the package. (No V-adapters but straight adapters were delivered, not as shown in the photos). Efforts were made to find the cause so this would not happen again, and to fix it. Within the week, the mudguards were mounted on my bike. Top service from Mantel! The mudguards do what they are designed to do, and that is to stop all splashing water. Even when riding through (shallow) puddles you no longer get your feet wet. The mudguards look sleek, and if you adjust the mounting rods, they can be tailored nicely to any bike. I have already tested them briefly on a few bad gravel strips and the mudguards are quiet and stay firmly attached.

Pros & Cons

Looks good on the bike
No more splashing water
Solid mounting
Sufficient nuts and bolts included
Assembly requires some work
Metal saw needed to cut brackets to size
Temporary removal of mudguards is difficult

Fine set of fenders, sturdy and beautiful.

- Hans, 6 December, 2022

Great product, just pay attention to where the mounting lugs are on the fork. On my Cannondale Topstone they are a bit higher on the fork, so measuring out the correct position of the mudguard is a bit of a puzzle.

Pros & Cons

Easy mounting
Sturdy mounting
Stylish sober design
It requires a hacksaw

Very well, after a little hobbying

- Tom, 28 November, 2022

When they are in place, they work well. But it wasn't as plug and play as I hoped. Had to make another bracket for the front and cut a piece off the back. Then it fit well and is vibration free!

Pros & Cons

Flexible
Lightweight
Reasonably easy to install
Had to shorten rods to fit
Not plug n play for my bike

wings of fine quality.

- W.M, 12 March, 2022

Good quality spar boards for a low price. Fixed solution for e.g. winter bike or commuter road bike! Mounting was a bit tricky as my road bike has no eyelets with threads, I mounted the mudguards with stainless steel pipe brackets. Pity skf did not include an option here.

Pros & Cons

good quality
low price
nice set of mudguards
no more wet asses
difficult to adjust
no sks solution for bikes without eyelets
pre-mounted flaps are difficult to remove
the bike must have eyelets for mounting

Does what it needs to do, no more splashing water

- Rik, 22 February, 2022

You do spend some time fixing both. Within an hour I didn't make it. Even though I am handy. Furthermore, it is sturdy and does not rattle, even on unpaved roads.

Pros & Cons

Always fits if you have fixing holes
Long and short Allen bolts, also with shims
No splashing water
Rods can be bent if they are just not right
Description concise Just think logically
Don't know the weight
Rods, fastening material is not black
Takes a long time to attach everything, even though I'm h

Perfect wing that doesn't rattle.

- Albert, 13 January, 2022

Is a perfect wing that doesn't rattle. Pity a 38mm tyre at the back won't go, but will be more down to my frame. Have a cannondale topstone 5.

Pros & Cons

Fastening is fine
Works perfectly

Mudguards are of good quality and have a nice design.

- Maarten, 26 December, 2021

Is second pair I ordered. Wings are good quality with metal core, so won't break or tear easily. Easy to fit with plastic sleeves around sharp ends of wing bar.

Pros & Cons

Design
Easy assembly
Front and rear mudguard with mud flap
Rear mudguard on the long side in my case. Hey

Solid mudguards

- Floor, 21 December, 2021

I mounted the mudguards on my trekking bike. They were easy to mount and are a nice matt black colour. I have been riding with them for 3 weeks now and haven't been able to discover any drawbacks.

Pros & Cons

Easy to assemble
Inexpensive
Look nice

Fine wings, although the rear is not ratchet-free.

- Gerben, 15 October, 2021

Easy to fit, but the rear rattles hugely against my seatstay. Is also no possibility of adjustment. The old fresh of these mudguards had a fixed position on top, making it a bit further from that tube. This one demolishes your nice paintwork and is hugely irritating with bikes. I would give 5 stars for the front, and 1 for the rear.

Pros & Cons

Easy to attach
Look nice
Protects well against water and mess
Rear rattles a lot

Nice tight wings!

- Hans, 26 February, 2021

Meets expectations.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit on the bike.
Long mudguards that keep everything clean.
Do not look elegant because they are long.

Discrete but effective

- Cathal, 1 February, 2021

This mudguards are ideal for those wet winter rides. The discrete fit, light weight and secure fixings make them perfect for your fast bike as well as your crusher or gravel bikes.

Pros & Cons

Good fit
Light
Look as good as mudguards can
Could do with brackets for straight fit frames

Excellent mudguards

- ERIC, 17 November, 2020

Very well packaged, they were delivered in record time, thank you Mantel! I bought them because I replaced my 38 wide tyres with 47 wide tyres and my original mudguards were too small. Installation was easy if you put a bit of time into it. In fact, for them to be properly installed (and therefore effective!) they need to be correctly positioned and this requires a bit of adjustment. But the installation kit is very complete and allows you to adjust them precisely to your bike. As far as their actual function is concerned, they're perfect! They provide effective protection from water and evacuate excess water and mud without dirtying your trousers or shoes. The only negative point so far is their sensitivity to scratches (matt black coating). Personally, I'm won over and I recommend them!

Pros & Cons

Adaptability
Efficiency
Value for money!
Very well maintained
Sensitive to scratches

Finally mud-free, for as long as it lasted...

- Martijn, 16 November, 2020

Assembly is really a crap job. The manual is worthless, without German-language videos from youtube I wouldn't have figured out how to fit the parts together. Once assembled, it looks good and the first three rides were great. Finally mud-free on the bike, no mess in the drivetrain. The occasional front mudguard against the studs, though: cycling with one hand is no longer possible (instability leads to movement in the mudguard, which then hits your studs). On ride 4, one of the clamps suddenly jumped loose. Fastened it again and after 10 minutes it loosened again. Then the clip came loose at every bump. So this is continuous if you have this mudguard on a Gravel bike (and it should be suitable for that if you read the description). The system is clever, as it releases when something gets between it. But so bad that it quickly becomes lame and then doesn't hold your mudguard.

Pros & Cons

Finally mud free
Rear wing fine
Assembly with a lot of frustration
Manual worthless
Secu-clip front mudguard already lame after 4 rides

- F., 14 October, 2020

Nice mudguards of good quality but fitting them is a bit of a chore, count on over an hour and that is only if you are handy. Not for people who are not handy.
