They are fine shoes. The smaller Velcro strap compared to the old model, works fine, fixed is fixed.

I waited until two rides in the forest to do my review. Downright fine shoes. I am a regular user of Bontrager MTB shoes with carbon soles, but these Sidi's are considerably better, with an almost equally hard sole. In fact, Bontrager is very narrow and the Sidi Trace 2 is available in a width size; the Mega. I very much regret that the spikes are not for sale, and cannot even be ordered from Mantel. While that is mentioned as 'optional'.

SIDI has a fit that suits me perfectly. The shoe is easy to adjust and easy to get into. A purchase I do not regret.

Unfortunately, these shoes were just not narrow enough for my very narrow feet. I finally chose the Fizik X5 Terra. The Sidi Trace 2 did fit me better than the Sidi Speed. I especially liked the Tecno-3 closure on the instep. My first impression was that the shoes are of decent quality. But I did not test that in practice. Handling by Mantel as always, obviously good again!

A nice shoe, but I find it relatively on the heavy side. Furthermore, they are very tight at the tongue, making the edges cut a bit, reason for me to buy another shoe.

Really comfy shoes, usually struggle to get roomy and wide enough cycling shoes, but these fitted will right away. Flexible enough to walk without heel lift, but stuff enough to provide positive drive to the pedals.
