Shimano 105 5800

Replacement for my stevens strado of 4 years, took a while to find the right model, watched a video, still called technical service if I had the right one. In combination with chain and cassette everything was easily replaced. I did take some time, immediately cleaned everything.

Spare parts for the 105 5800 series are now hard to find on specialist sites. Fortunately for me, Mantel still lists it. I'm delighted.

Good sprocket for this price. Installed this sprocket instead of the original 36t and it makes a huge difference in terms of performance it's only 3 teeth different but the difference is considerable.

What’s not to like? , light, good value and easy to fit. When you are changing the whole drive train each season, why go for the more expensive option when this fits the bill perfectly.

I had worn out my integra chainring, and was not sure I wanted to spend over a hundred quid on a replacement part. Luckily 105 has the same measurements and with mantels price, meant it was a bargain. Great replacement and transmission working beirusully again. Quick shipping from mantel which helped me get back on my bike sooner.

Hard to find and Shimano prices at most retailers mean it’s often cheaper to replace the whole crankset than replacing both rings. Thankfully Mantel had the ring in stock and way cheaper than anywhere else I could find. Perfect!
