A simple-to-use tool for checking chain wear. Bought once and for all, you won't have to replace it any time soon, and it's not that expensive.

A must for anyone riding 11 or 12 speed cassettes. Because you replace your chain a little sooner (at 0.5% wear instead of 0.75 or even 1%) you simply do much longer with your (especially with 12-speed) very expensive cassettes.

Still, I bought a wear gauge from a reputable brand. And what did I find out? According to my B'twin wear gauge, my chain needs replacing. According to this one, it can still last. The gauge is longer than my previous one.

Fine and clearly readable little tool. Perhaps there are cheaper chain gauges on the market but I deliberately went for the good reputation of Parktools. My suspicion was correct and my mtb chain is at the end of its rope.
