Ortlieb Sport Packer Classic

Ortlieb is known for solidity and this bag is no different! It has the well-known Ortlieb suspension system, which works very nicely and simply. The bags are well and securely sealed so rain (and perhaps thieves) do not easily get into the bag. Very happy with this purchase!

Delivery was no problem at all. This is my first time as a Mantel customer. The price was the most competitive As for the panniers, they're of good quality. They're practical depending on the volume accepted, they're not travel bags either, but they can be used as a sports bag (sneakers, shorts, T-shirt, briefcase) on one side and a work bag (PC+documents) on the other. A pleasant surprise is the interior pocket for a 14" PC. You can exceed the volume, provided you don't want to close the bag, thanks to the bag's membrane, which allows it to rise 10cm above the zipper. Putting it on the luggage rack is simple! But removing it is the same thing, so whether you're at a traffic light or at a standstill, that's its weakness! So I added Ortlieb pannier locks for 13€. It's a budget but the quality and confidence are there.

I first had the sport roller classic but it just didn't fit my laptop. These are just a bit higher and it fits perfectly. Ideal if you don't want too big panniers. And of course the super quality of ortlieb.

Perfect, when you want quality, you pay for it... And that's exactly the case here. The Ortlied system is so easy! A little protection on the bike is required if the panniers rest on the frame, which is logical.

Exactly what you would expect from Ortlieb and at this price

Ideal volume for front mounting on a lowrider luggage rack or even on the rear. Enough room for a small 2-seater tent, 2 duvets, 2 inflatable mattresses, 1 cooking pot, a stove and you're ready for a few days' self-sufficient touring. With 30 litres of useful space, you'll even have a little room left over for food. The zipped inside pockets will keep your papers safe. And it's perfectly waterproof, so you won't need a rain cover. The cheapest deal on the net is at Mantel.

Very convenient to use. Especially the different adjustment options, without tools you can adjust the bag to the bike frame to hang it comfortably.

Bought these panniers for every day use on my way to work. Have to carry documents (A4), clothes, rainwear, spare inner tube and ocassionally a tablet computer. In most cases, one of the bags is sufficient to store all of that. So for everyday use, these two bags are big enough and on a longer journey, they will complement the rear panniers that I already own.
