Good pedals.

- Ben, 27 March, 2024

Good pedals. I put them on my road bike, as I ride MTB shoes myself. That works fine.

Easy to engage and disengage
Slightly more support than with Shimano pedals

Great pedal with Look(s)

- Gerard, 11 October, 2023

Have the expensive carbon version sitting on the MTB. Great pedal, easy to click in and out. Looks are great, lives up to its name. All this with a nice price, makes it totally awesome. Mantel thanks for fast and correct shipping.

Pros & Cons

Good price
Great working pedal
Looks nice

Very good MTB pedals

- Edwin, 3 October, 2023

There are two differences compared to Shimano pedals that I think are an improvement: the contact area and the distance from the crank to the centre of the pedal. This makes the so-called Q-factor slightly smaller if you keep your plates the same.

works perfectly with shimano SPD, stable, AND they look good.

- Jens, 26 September, 2023

Since I ride with SPD pedals on the road bike (so I can use the same shoes on race, gravel and MTB), I was still looking for a pedal that gave just a bit more stability /(larger power transfer surface). I really like these, and they don't look out of place on a road bike at all!

Pros & Cons

looks good
noticeably larger support area/more stability.
Works perfectly with shimano SPD plates

Don't start on these pedals that run with a hefty resistance

- Aaldrik, 24 October, 2021

These are inferior pedals. They spin with too much resistance. According to Mantel, this seems to be how it should be, but the cheapest shimano pedals spin nicer. Probably the bearings are of poor quality and/or badly aligned. One star is actually still too much!

Pros & Cons

look nice
bearings do not turn smoothly and with considerable resistance

Functional all-round pedal

- Dieter, 2 October, 2020

The pedals of the X-Track series from Look now have an identical cleat system to the SPD pedals from Shimano and functionally there are only very minor differences here. The advantage of the Look pedals, however, is their very large contact surface, which provides perfect support for most shoes. Another positive aspect in this context is the greater height, because in contrast to the flatter Shimano pedals, it is actually only the soles and not the cleats that stand perfectly on the pedal and a very secure standing feeling is conveyed without any tipping. The bearing runs solidly and smoothly and clicking in and out is easy and intuitive. The materials used are of high quality and the pedal has performed impeccably so far.

Pros & Cons

Cleats also compatible with Shimano pedals
Good price / performance ratio
High quality materials
Large contact area
Solid bearings
Difficult to open for service
Weight a little high
