Very easy to set up and use

- Simon, 13 February, 2017

I bought this to replace a 'dumb' trainer and I found it easy to set up and start using with the Elite app and Zwift once I had linked up the Ant+ dongle (bought separately). No issues with connection and the read out figures seem fine as matching speed and cadence sensor already fitted on the bike. Good option for a smart trainer on a budget.

Good value

- John, 19 January, 2017

Good value trainer. Easy to set-up and connected to phone app without difficulty. Resistance drops off considerably when weight is shifted forward (e.g. out of saddle efforts) but power readout remains constant (i.e. power overstated), only an issue when out of saddle.

Pros & Cons

Free 12month Elite training app
Price
Training app not expensive thereafter
Doesn't communicate directly to Garmin
Inaccurate power out-of-saddle

Pros & Cons

Easy to use
Quiet
Robust frame
Simple to set up
Cable plug in point looks flimsy
Plastic cover looks vunerable
Plug needs to be used with a UK adaptor

Very good value and competent trainer

Trying to decide upon a turbo trainer is a nightmare. There's so many options and when you get your head around them and start narrowing down your choice, you keep finding negative reviews or issues with the equipment. I eventually selected this and have been more than happy. You'll struggle to find a turbo trainer with all the features of this. It's very simple to set up, reasonably quiet and connects to all the main software and all of my Ant+ devices connected without any problems. Make no mistake, nothing can beat cycling outside on the road, but this has given me lots of options to keep up my cycling fitness during the winter. I also can't stress how good Mantel were. I ordered on Boxing Day and within 3 days I had the trainer delivered and set up. Not only was this service top class, but they were the cheapest by some way. I'm sure to be a repeat customer.

Fantastic bit of kit

- Dave, 27 November, 2016

In all the years I have been using a turbo I have never wanted a session not to finish. Linked up to Bkool each session is so good and rewarding I could keep going. The service from Mantel was 1st class, I ordered it on Friday afternoon and it was delivered by lunch time Monday.
