Item comes as described. Very quick dispatch upon order and fast delivery. Item was well packed, and arrived nicely. The handlebar tape itself is smooh and at the quality you’d expect from Brooks! Great price from Mantel.

Pros & Cons

A more luxurious alternative to the classic black fabric tape. (and the cork plugs are good for carbon bars that don't have round holes.) I bought this to go on a pair of integrated carbon bars ...... so 21st century bars meets 20th C old school brooks leather. NB. The trick is not to wind the tape the modern way ie from the bar end toward the centre. (thus the development of the use of tape in the centre as shown in the advert picture). Use the traditional method and start from the centre using the leather tape itself to hold it'self in place. Then use the sticky tape at the end of the bar (that's if you don't use the bar plug.). This looks neater but more importantly it leaves the embossed Brooks script clearly visible on the top centre of each bar. - Presumably what the boys at Brooks intended.
