After much thinking and persuading myself, I did come to the conclusion to buy a helmet. After some searching and finally going to Mantel, I found this helmet. And so far I am very satisfied and happy with it.

Helmet sat right away, doesn't pinch anywhere and finds it quite light. Visor is adjustable and can only be removed by unscrewing. Strap is very short, had to slide out as much as possible. But no problems with wearing it.

Very happy with my new Bell 4Forty, glad I went for the Matt gray/red colour. Looks great and lie my current Bell helmet, if fits perfectly, nice padding and a good weight. As this helmet has MIPS, should offer great crash protection, but hopefully I won’t have to leave a review about it!

I would have preferred it in blue to match my mountain bike! A plus would have been a built-in UV screen....

An Enduro helmet that offers fantastic all round protection without costing the earth. The compromise for this ? Nothing. It’s a great lid. I tend to overheat especially on climbs. No issues whilst wearing this. Goggle compatible - sunglasses storage. Looks good too What’s not to like

I usually wear a full face, but the combination of lockdown-related closure of my local bike parks and unusually high temperatures for spring in the U.K. meant that I was in the market for a new open face helmet. My main requirements were decent protection for trail riding, good sweat management and a price that wouldn’t break the bank. This helmet fits the bill on all three, with one real standout feature: a pad that directs sweat away from your eyes and face. It works really well, and is a feature that few other helmets have. I think only the Specialized Angi and Oakley DRT5 have similar sweat management, and they’re both considerably more expensive. It also works perfectly with goggles and is pretty well ventilated.

I have Now had this helmet for a couple of weeks really comfortable most of the time you don’t know you have got it on very light and stylish. Had a big off last week apart from a couple of marks it held up really well would recommend

Very good helmet overall in terms of value for money. Aesthetics are really nice and although color options may not suit everyone, I really like the light grey/red option, that looks even better than in the pictures. The sweat guide seems to be working fine and the ventilation is really good. Only drawbacks so far, are a sharp edge on the chin strap clip, that pinches that area, and holding the shades in the holes is a bit complicated. Other than that, completely satisfied with the product so far.

Excellent fit and using the dial to customise it for your own head shape means it’s almost unnoticeable when you are out and about.

This is my first MIPs helmet so still getting used to the MIPS fit. Build quality is very good. Only reason I haven't given higher score is I find the front of the helmet that goes across your forehead gets very sweaty and has a tendency to push down onto my sunnies. I appreciate this is a very strong part of the helmet designed for safety but find it hot compared to other helmets I've had.

Nice helmet. It's a bit tricky to get the fit perfect so that the helmet sits in the same position whilst riding. Nice and comfortable of medium weight. The visor can be raised or lowered but essentially only has the the extreme positions. It's also easy for the visor to look crooked. Probably not the coolest for ventilation but as I swapped to eMTB at the same time it's much less of an issue and pushing the peak up helps direct more air in. Like the availability of replacement padding although couldn't find the correct matching colour but that's minor.

Love the style of the helmet but dissapoited in the finish it has scratched already only worn twice.

Great fit, Mips safety, easy to adjust, great coverage, looks the bomb in black too. Brilliant value and best price i could find online. Delivery was easy too and collection from sainsburys was really easy and convienient.
