Description
Pirelli acquired their knowledge and technology through the experience of being the only tyre sponsor in Formula 1, and through many tests in the world tour from which the test results of riders have been shared. A constant desire for improvement is what Pirelli's engineers constantly strive for in order to create one of the best performing all-round racing tyres for road bikes.
After three years of development involving the best World Tour level riders, Pirelli finally designed this new tyre. These tyres feature the new SmartEVO compound and TechBELT technology. Pirelli did not just develop this tyre for professional cyclist, but all who love cycling!
Technology
The new SmartEVO compound is a blend of 3 different polymers, each offering specific performance qualities. Finding the optimal balance between opposing properties, such as grip and rolling resistance is an ongoing search. With Pirelli tyres you can benefit from more than 100 years of experience in car and bike racing in developing tyres to meet specific needs for different situations. This enabled Pirelli to create a polymer blend with 'smart' performance characteristics for bicycle tyres as the basis of the excellent properties of the SmartEVO compound, resulting in better grip in the dry and wet, while also giving a lower rolling resistance. Pirelli has created a performance compound designed and attuned to all modern cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures, where the climate and road require tyres that perform well in all conditions.

A racing slicky tyre for Dry / Wet weather
Tubeless runs well, you will feel rolling smoothly on the road. Not bad at cornering when compare to most of other tyres. Durable too, already 5000KM
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
excellent all-rounder but pricey.
Pleasant ride on cobbles. filters many small bumps away from the road. nevertheless after first ride, the rear tyre had a cut across the sidewall. Was not through but a weak point and no longer reliable. Presumably hit something. ( which can happen with any tyre) Mantel solved this by giving an extra discount on a new one, which was very nice. Meanwhile still satisfied with the handling of this tyre.

Echt hele slechte ervaring
Sinds een maand deze banden, al 3x lek gereden. Echt hele slechte banden en zeker voor dat geld. Ik ga weer terug naar Continental.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Nice and easy to use, but expensive and low grip.
Very happy with the ease of use of this tyre. Easy to get on the rim with one finger in the nose, which is nice if you have a puncture on the road. No messing around with endless efforts (GPs, Schwalbe's). Is very pricey though, and in corners the tyre has very little grip for me. As soon as it gets wet, it's completely anxious, so bear that in mind.
