Description

The Mavic Crossmax Elite Mountainbike wheels are light, stiff and stable. With a weight of only 1655 grams (29") the wheels are perfect for Cross Country terrain. The 22 mm wide rim, combined with strong straight pull spokes, offers a lot of stability on fast tracks. The wide rim allows you to mount tyres from 42 mm to 64 mm (1.4" to 2.5"). Mavic has equipped the Crossmax Elite wheel set with a UST rim. This means that the wheelset can be driven tubeless. In combination with tubeless tyres, you can ride with a lower tyre pressure, which provides more control, grip and lower rolling resistance. When using liquid latex, the risk of punctures is also minimised. The aluminium rim is made of Maxtal aluminium, designed exclusively for Mavic. This special composition has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than normal 6106 aluminium. The ISM 4D technology removes superfluous material during production, resulting in a lighter and more responsive wheel.

The Mavic Crossmax Elite MTB wheels feel stiff and direct to the touch, so you'll be up and running again after a turn. The Mavic Instant Drive 360 hub has an engagement of only 9 degrees, which means that the Elite is super quick to grip from the moment you put power to your pedals. The Mavic Crossmax Elite is equipped with durable, well sealed and adjustable Mavic QRM bearings. Dirt and moisture are less likely to affect the bearings, which improves their life span.

(UST) Universal Tubeless Standard
Mavic Crossmax Elite MTB wheels can be made tubeless thanks to UST technology. This has numerous advantages such as reduced rolling resistance, more ride comfort and improved grip. The most important advantage of tubeless riding is that you can keep on riding when you have a puncture. The liquid latex fills the hole in the tyre within seconds.

With Mavic Care you can extend the warranty to 3 years by registering your purchased wheel set on the Mavic website within 30 days. This also activates the possibility of crash replacement so you can get up to 40% discount on a similar product. You are eligible for this when your wheel cannot be repaired after a crash or collision.

Technology

(UST) Universal Standard for Tubeless.
The rim is ready to ride without an inner tube. Rim tape is therefore not necessary. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort and also reduces punctures.

(Drive 360 mode)
The Instant Drive 360 freewheel body system is super light and has a quick to grip ratchet system with only 9° engagement. A large rubber seal ensures low friction and a good seal. An oversized axle and the hardened aluminium body save 40 grams.

(ISM 4D) Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions
An exclusive patented Mavic concept, ISM 4D, reduces weight without sacrificing durability. Faster acceleration, better handling and better resistance to uneven surfaces. The smooth surface of the spokes also improves aerodynamics.

(Maxtal) light and strong
Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a higher stiffness/weight ratio than a conventional 6106 alloy.
