The Lazer Z1 MIPS road bike helmet is one of the lightest helmets on the market, so much so that you’ll barely notice you’re wearing it. This is one of the reasons why professional cyclists wear it during important races.
The Lazer Z1 is not only a lightweight helmet, it is also very comfortable and safe. It features the Advanced Rollsys Retention System (ARS) for adjusting the fit easily and with one hand. The height can be adjusted via the Adjustable Head Basket. Plus, the helmet is very comfortable to wear.
In-Mold construction and MIPS for optimal protection
The fact that the Lazer Z1 is very lightweight, does not mean it is less safe. To ensure your safety, it features a combination of the MIPS system and the Inside In-Mold System, whereby 4 layers are sprayed together to create one protective layer. The MIPS system consists of a low-friction inner layer between the EPS lining and the padding with elastic attachments. This ensures a bit of play in the event of a fall; the helmet can shift and rotate relative to the head to absorb the lateral and rotational forces involved in a fall better. In helmets without MIPS, by comparison, the blow is only absorbed by the EPS lining that compresses.
31 vents to prevent overheating
The Lazer Z1 MIPS helmet has 31 ventilation openings, so you will have a constant cooling airflow running over your head. Even during bike rides on hot days, the chance of your head overheating is minimal.
With the Lazer Z1 MIPS you have a very lightweight bike helmet that guarantees excellent head protection.

Quite happy with this helmet. Good looking (dark green colour) without looking like having a mushroom on my head. It’s very light, to the point you almost don’t feel it on my head. Lastly, very simple to adjust this helmet. Oh yes, it has MIPS. Minor shortcoming is the lack of an insect net, which was not a dealbreaker (for me, at least).

Nice looking MIPS helmet.
