Hammerhead Heart Rate Monitor

The Hammerhead heart rate monitor is one of the lightest heart rate monitors on the market and gives you real-time heart rate data on your training device. Thanks to a patented honeycomb pattern, it has an increased skin contact surface area and improves moisture drainage to prevent the strap moving during use.

Accuracy
The strap of the heart rate monitor is easy to attach around your chest. Here, it measures the electric activity of your heart's beating, giving an accurate heart rate reading. The Hammerhead heart rate monitor uses a conductive rubber material which is highly sensitive and able to detect your heartbeat in all circumstances. This material is highly resistant to ageing, temperature and moisture.

Waterproof
As the Hammerhead heart rate strap is waterproof, you don't have to worry that sweat or water will interfere with the sensor. When you remove the sensor, you can wash the strap. With a 30m waterproofness rating, this heart rate strap is not suitable for swimming.

The ANT+ and Dual Bluetooth connectivity allows you to easily pair the heart rate monitor with various devices, such as your Hammerhead bike computer, online training programmes like Zwift, compatible fitness equipment at your favourite gym, and your smartphone.

ANT+
With the ANT+ connectivity you can connect this monitor to other devices that use the ANT+ protocol, allowing you to pair products from different manufacturers easily. Many bike computers and compatible sensors feature this wireless technology, through which all your sensors and devices can exchange data, which you can then save in the right place.

Dual Bluetooth
With the Bluetooth connectivity you can easily connect this product to most smartphones. This gives you access to your training data in all your favourite fitness apps, such as Strava, Runkeeper, Endomondo or Wahoo Fitness. Dual Bluetooth even allows you to connect with two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

With what devices can I pair this heart rate monitor?
The Hammerhead heart rate monitor can be paired with Hammerhead (cycling) electronics that can display heart rate data. This would be the Hammerhead Karoo 2 bike computer. Furthermore, other sports electronics that can display heart rate data can be paired as long as they have Bluetooth or ANT+ connectivity. This means you can pair the product with sports watches and cycle trainers from other brands and with Android/iOS smartphones.

I'm getting the impression that the data isn't right. What can I do?
To be able to function properly, the heart rate monitor must be worn correctly:
• Make sure the electrodes are moist.
• Make sure the strap fits well around your chest, not too tight or too loose.
• Rinse the strap off after each use.
• Wash the strap regularly, that is, after 7 uses.
• Do not tumble dry; leave to dry in the air.
• If the device hasn't been used for a longer period of time, the battery may run down.
• Synthetic materials may cause static electricity, which may affect the heart signals.
