AFS AXLE SYSTEM
Fulcrum developed this system for mounting the brake discs on the hubs. This fit is made in a way that centerlock discs perform optimally, concerning dosing and direct braking.
Tubeless's technique is first derived from the car industry, then it was taken over in the motor industry, at last it has also reached the bicycle industry. After its debut in mountain biking, it has now been further developed for the application in road biking that we like to help develop.
We have developed the 2-way fit system so that it is also compatible with regular tyres and folding tyres. The 2-way fit racing wheelsets are very versatile in different situations. Thanks to a rim flange, the tubeless tyres fall perfectly into place to ensure maximum sealing. If the valve is placed correctly, it doesn't matter at first whether the tyre is completely straight. When the pressure in the tyre increases, the tyre will automatically shoot into place.
The advantages are incredible:
Tests have shown that there's a huge advantage concerning rolling resistance. Because no inner tube is used, that resistance is left out completely. Tubeless tyres don't suffer when punctured. Due to the latex in the tyre, the hole is easily filled. Blowouts or snake bites are a thing of the past and enhance the safety. Should it still be the case that the hole is not filled, for example by a cut in the tyre, a normal inner tube can still be fitted to get home.
