A great wheelset, providing loads of feedback from the road. The bearings spin on for days making the flats and downhills super quick and riding an absolute pleasure.
They take the hills in their stride too. Every turn of your legs feels so directly linked with the wheels, it feels like none of your energy is going to waste.
They are stiff enough to react quickly to any change of pace you ask of them making a sprint for the line that little bit easier.
The service from Mantel was first class. Having never bought from them before I didn't know what to expect, but great communication and very speedy delivery. I'll definitely be using them again.

High quality product.
Light, easy to fit and apparently very well made. Only time will tell if they live up to this promise, but I have had prior experience of Fulcrum 5s and am pretty confident that the 3s will be equally good.
I have seen comments by a lady customer of one of the big internet-based cycle suppliers who had problems when she came to fit tyres. I found tyre fitting (using Schwalbe Durano tyres) very easy, so I would expect this problem to be an isolated one.

Great wheels at a great price, look fantastic and nice and light. Would recommend to anyone not looking to spend masses of money but still get top quality wheels
The aluminium rim has been designed in such a way that there's a perfect balance between weight and rigidity. Part of this is down to the removal of any excess material on the rims. The MoMag system (no spoke holes in the inside of the rim) further reduces weight as there's no more need for rim tape. Fulcrum has reduced the chance of spoke failure by using straight-pull spokes rather than the traditional J-bend ones. If a spoke fails, it often does at the bend right next to the head of the spoke. Straight pull spokes are completely straight and can therefore handle considerably higher tensile stresses.
The concept is both simple and elegant: balance the wheel by placing a small weight opposite of the valve.
When you apply pressure to the pedals, this force will be transferred all the way to the spokes in an attempt to turn the wheel. The last thing you’d want is to lose power along the way! Fulcrum has ensured your power can go where it’s supposed to with the patented 2:1 Two-to-One spoke pattern, which entails doubling the amount of spokes on the critical drive side.

Exclusive rim-spoke connection, which enables Fulcrum to offer equal tension to the rim, spokes, nipples, and hubs under all conditions.
A system with which you replace the spoke nipples using a magnet. This is required as there are no spoke holes on the outside of the rim.
This new system takes lacing the wheels to a whole new level. The engineers at Fulcrum have altered the spoke and hub design to create an even more rigid construction. The results:
• Spokes never lose their lateral rigidity and therefore will remain perfectly centred.
• The tested position created in the windtunnel can be maintained which maximises aerodynamic efficiency.
