The Fizik Antares R1 Open saddle with carbon rails and a cut-out is a new model in Fizik’s 2018 assortment. The combination of carbon rails and cut-out ensures the Fizik Antares R1 Open offers a good balance between stiffness and comfort, combined with a low weight. This is also made possible by the carbon shell with Wing Flex and the carbon braided rails.
The Fizik Antares R1 Open zadel has been designed with the so-called Chameleons in mind. According to Fizik, the Chameleon is a rider with a fairly flexible spine. The Antares R1 Open is a mix of the Arione and Aliante when it comes to the shape. The saddle offers great support in all positions.
This saddle has a semi-round rear part which makes it perfect for those who move around a little with their hips while riding. A semi-round saddle provides ample support while also offering enough freedom to move around, and more so than a flat saddle.
This is a semi-round saddle, which means it's flat at the front and raised slightly in the rear. The shape makes it suitable for people with a fairly flexible spine. This has to do with the rotation of your pelvis. For instance, when you're upright you might need a little extra support, but when rotating forward to ride on the drops you're fine.
This saddle has a cut-out and alleviates pressure for those who often experience discomfort or pressure to their soft tissue areas.
