Description
The Campagnolo Scirocco C17 road bike wheels have undergone a few changes, both showing in their more neutral looks and technical alterations. The internal rim width has been increased from 15 mm to 17 mm, for instance. This makes 25 mm tyres sit more flush on the rim and it lightens the wheels by around 70 grams compared to the previous model. The 35 mm deep rims make this a really all-round wheelset, suitable to take on any terrain.
The 35 mm deep rims use the Dynamic Balance technique to optimise stability. This means that any point of the rim is counterbalanced by a weight opposite to that point. The front wheel has 16 aero spokes, while the rear has 21, all made from stainless steel.
G3 spoke geometry
Campagnolo has devised a spoke pattern which, compared to a traditional spoked wheel, makes it possible to improve energy transfer and reduce the load on the spokes on the right-hand side. This is achieved in the G3 spoke geometry with double the number of spokes on the right side for more lateral stiffness.
• Campagnolo Quick Release Skewers
• Campagnolo Rim Tape (Pre-installed)
• (possibly a torque wrench)
Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette.
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim.
• On both the front and rear wheel, there is a small adjustment screw on the left-hand side to adjust the side play.

Very good wheels, good quality, as it says in the description if you want to improve in quality, i.e. reduce the weight, you should choose a zonda which are the same but with a lower weight.
