Description

Description

The Campagnolo AFS Centerlock brake disc is made for the roughest and most intense conditions. It is for good reason that you will find it in the Campagnolo EKAR groupset. Yet it is also used in the Record series. This lightweight, stylish rotor offers excellent stiffness and high-quality heat dissipation. The properties of tempered steel make this rotor highly resistant to deformation or fading in the heat of the ride!

High-quality, sturdy, lightweight rotor
Campagnolo's AFS Centerlock brake rotor is available in two sizes, 140 mm and 160 mm. Both are made of almost 2 mm thick tempered steel for optimum durability and ultimate performance. Tempered steel is used to make brake rotors that are lightweight, strong and resistant to corrosion. This particular brake rotor can be used in all Campagnolo brake systems, and is compatible with AFS and centerlock systems.

Compatibility

• Compatible with AFS (Axial Fixing System) and centerlock systems
• Compatible with all Campagnolo brake systems

Delivery includes

• 1x Campagnolo Ekar Centerlock rotor (140 mm or 160 mm)

Assembly

How do I mount a disc brake rotor?
For disc brake rotors, you have 2 different ways of mounting depending on the lock ring. One has an internal fit that you can tighten with a Cassette Removal Tool without a pin. If the inside of the key is open, it can reach far enough over the axle of the wheel. The other version is an external fit that you can tighten with a bottom bracket tool.

Although I have been a regular Shimano user for decades, I recommend the Campagnolo brake discs

- Rik 24 October 2023

Following a tip on YouTube, I fitted Campagnolo discs, 160 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear, because I was fed up with the Shimano brake discs, which warp slightly after heavy braking and drag for a while until they cool down again. That gekldt even for their so-called Ice technology. Campagnolo has the same centrelock system as Shimano. The discs are simply interchangeable. Warping is solved immediately.
