Cadence Sensors

Cadence sensors or cadence meters measure your number of crank revolutions per minute. The cadence sensor transmits the pedal strokes to your cycling computer. This data is then displayed on your cycling computer in revolutions per minute (rpm). If you are a serious cyclist, this data is very important for your training. Cadence meters often work via the ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart signal.
