Description
With the new Zipp 454 NSW you get the latest technology. Zipp follows the newest aerodynamics trends, namely how to handle wind sensitivity. To achieve their aims Zipp had to reinvent the wheel. Zipp used concepts from nature in these wheels. The shape of whale fins, that according to Zipp result in a lower resistance, are found in the rims. The jagged shape has to make sure that they feel more stable in the wind, because the wind has less influence on the rims. The famous dimples have a honeycomb pattern to lead air better around the tyres. The jagged structure is stiff with the same spoke length of a 404 and the wind sensitivity of a 303. Fast and stable is the best description to use for these wheels.
