The Stages Dura Ace 9100 crank arm is the latest addition to the Stages range. This completes the Shimano Dura Ace 9100 crank set with a power meter. Stages adds just 20 grams to the original crank arm, making it the lightest power meter available. The small deviation of just ±2% gives Stages an impressive reputation and is one of the main reasons this power meter is used by teams such as Team Sky. The left crank arm is treated using a milling machine which shaves off a minute layer to which the device is then glued. This creates a construction which becomes virtually inseparable.
The data is transferred via ANT + and Bluetooth Smart technology, allowing almost any bike computer to be paired. The firmware updates can easily be done wireless from your phone. The cadence is measured wireless and without required additional sensors, through the internal accelerometer.
