Description

Description

The Speedplay Zero Pave Walkable Aero are cleats that are provided with an integrated rubber cover. This cover makes these cleats very suitable for walking and they have become more aerodynamic. So no more dangerous situations when you walk up the stairs or when you go get a coffee on your break. The integrated rubber covers remain on the shoes while you're clipped in during cycling. If you're going to run with it, the rubber covers protect the click system against abrasion. The rubber covers give you even more grip when walking. SpeedPlay thereby provides the "Cleat Buddies". You can mount these caps on the place where you clip in the pedal. Mud between your cleats belongs to the past!

• Compatible with all Speedplay Zero pedals, with the exception of the Speedplay Ultra Light Action and X-series.

Great idea to make these walkable. Feel more secure whilst your waiting for the traffic. Very stiff to start off with guess my old cleats had got a bit slack having had a lot of use.

Pros & Cons

Secure
Stiff to get out of at first

Nice idea...but... I lost a cleat cover on the first ride.

- Mike 18 July 2016

I like the concept of the pedal two way clip in/out. I have used the zero with 'Keep On Kovers' but I was fed up with the covers coming adrift and therefore lost out on the road somewhere and replacement is at an extortionate price . So I thought (mistakenly) that the walkable covers would prove more effective.....no..... The covers need a more captive system to secure them to the cleat. Once you lose a cover you might as well throw the cleats away. Don't buy these unless you're willing to give up any adjustment and glue with epoxy or similar. Waste of money......I'm back to 'Keo's' for most of my rides. bought these walk

Pros & Cons

Actual cleat/pedal concept is good.
Expensive
Poor design of cover captive system.
