Description
The Ultegra R8000 SPD-SL pedals have once again been further optimised when it comes to power transfer efficiency. In order to make this happen, the pedal body has been lowered to get closer to the axle. This means no power is lost in the adjoining material, creating an optimal balance between low weight and maximum power transfer. The body rotates around a stainless steel axle with double bearings in each pedal. The width ensures optimal stability, while the steel plates improve durability. The spring tension is still adjustable, meaning you can set up how hard it is to (dis)engage the pedal.

Stiff lightweight pedal
Very pleased with these carbon pedals. I have mine set to a good stiff clip in as well which helps if you like the firm contact

Good quality pedals.
I'm no Shimano fan but these pedals are good quality. They are renowned for good bearings and lifespan generally. Feel stiffer than the Look Keo they replace. However, a touch pricey even when discounted and I wouldn't dream of paying RRP for them, ever.

Great Upgrade!
I was using SPD pedals with my MTB shoe's on my new road bike. I have 1,90m and notice my foot were very close to my cranks so I’ve ordered the +4mm longer version and that improved my ride confort and knee position! I’ve done a total of 400km with them so far and I’m very happy with this upgrade. Impressive quality pedal and great service from Mantel, very quick delivery to Portugal! Ordered on friday afternoon received on Tuesday!

Great product and quality.

They're also suitable if you have slightly wider hips or when you ride with your knees bent outwards slightly.
