Suitable for cross-country mountain biking
The Shimano XT M8100 disc brakes are suitable for cross-country mountain biking, which is a fast and less technical MTB discipline. As for our country, the Netherlands, most MTB trails are for cross-country mountain biking; in other countries, these are most medium technical trails.
These Shimano XT M8100 disc brakes can be set up exactly as you like. Shimano's I-Spec EV mounting system makes it possible to adjust the brake lever and shifter positions. An additional advantage is that you need only one clamp to mount the gear and brake levers. Distance between the brake lever and the bars can also be personalised.
Servo-Wave technology for excellent braking power and modulation
The Shimano XT M8100 disc brakes offer high braking power and good modulation; the latter is due to Shimano's Servo-Wave technology. How it works is that, when the braking movement begins, the pistons move towards the disc more quickly than when the brake pads are closer to the disc. This results in better modulation and increased control.
Ice technology for good heat dissipation
Shimano's Ice technology achieves good heat dissipation so your brake pads are less likely to overheat. For this reason the brake pads feature cooling fins. For optimal performance, Shimano recommends using these brakes with XTR, XT or SLX discs.
No air bubbles due to the one-way bleed system
The Shimano XT M8100 brakes have optimised brake fluid flow thanks to one-way ventilation, which prevents air from getting trapped in the hydraulic system. This not only improves braking power, but also makes clean, problem-free bleeding possible.
If you're changing from a different brand of brakes or want to mount a different size disc, you'll need an adapter between the frame and the caliper. You can find these adapters here.

My shifters are M8000 but fit well with this M8100 brake lever, the m8000 adapter to connect the two is eliminated with the m8100. Quality is good and braking power is sufficient, I may need to bleed the rear brake after installation for better performance but otherwise fine

Good value for money
